Many of Our Students Are the First in Their Families to Earn a Degree

When students have completed the requirements for the AA degree, they are eligible to graduate with an Associate of Arts in Liberal Arts. Each June we host a commencement ceremony in the visiting room at San Quentin State Prison. Graduates receive their degrees surrounded by family, friends, fellow students, Mt. Tam College staff and board members, and other supporters.
