College Prep

Our College Preparatory Program, offering five non-credit courses in writing and math, aims to prepare students academically for college-level coursework, to establish a learning community, and to provide an opportunity for students to develop their identities as students, scholars, academics, and community members. Many of our students are reentering the classroom after decades, while others have earned a GED or other high school equivalency certificate. Some have gone through schooling with undiagnosed learning disabilities: our metacognitive learning support offers them the opportunity to take control of their education, often for the first time.
