I am a raindrop, speeding uncontrollably toward the ground. I am unique. I have my own size and shape. I am beautiful in my own way. I have a name and imagine myself to have great purpose and value. I will give the world something no one else can give because there is only one me.
I hear a sound. A beautiful sound, and I realize the sound is coming from me. I seem to be making a wonderful, clear, musical sound as I fall. I am unique and I must share this gift of music as I fall uncontrollably toward the ground. My time is short so I sing my heart out. I look next to me and I see a beautiful raindrop, speeding uncontrollably toward the ground. I look into her eyes and there, I see a reflection of myself. I look a lot like her; she is my sister and we are speeding uncontrollably toward the ground.
I listen closely and I hear music not my own. Music is coming from my sister and it seems she has her own song. Her song is full of love and it makes me strong. I look down and see my time will be short but I shimmer in the light of the sky as if I had forever. Maybe it will be different for me. I will find a way to stay in the sky and become even more beautiful because after all, I am unique.
I look for my sister and suddenly she is gone. Her music has stopped but I can still hear it in my head. The word coming up to me through other raindrops is that she has found the ground. Her music is finished.
There are young raindrops above me in the sky and I sing my song as clear and loud as I can to tell them what I know, to make them stronger. I am a raindrop, speeding uncontrollably toward the ground. I am unique but by the time they hear my gift of love, I have hit the ground and am no more.
